How does 2FA work?
Upon logging in, you need to enter your email and password (the first "factor"):
If 2FA is enabled on your account, you will be prompted to enter a one-time password (the second "factor").
You then need to then open a time-based one-time password (TOTP) generation app like Authy or Google Authenticator. To complete the login process, enter the OTP that was generated via the app (more on this later):
Generating OTPs
A one-time password can be generated using an app like Authy or Google Authenticator.
- Authy has apps for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. It also has a Chrome Extension that you can use. https://authy.com/download/
- Google Authenticator has an app for Android and iOS: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1066447
How do I enable 2FA?
Visit orbxdirect.com/account/update/tfa. You’ll be presented with a QR code that you can scan with the aforementioned mobile app (and a code below if you don't have an Android or iOS device):
If you’re using Authy for Chrome, log in to the extension and click the settings icon. Then navigate to the External Accounts tab. At the bottom, click Add Authenticator Account and enter the code on OrbxDirect (the code below the QR code):
Finally, click [Done] and close the settings window.
In the main tokens list, you’ll see one-time passwords being generated for your OrbxDirect account every 30 seconds.
